Kathleen Bemiss and her husband Scott and their three children have resided in Bedford for the last 26 years. She recently announced her candidacy for one of the three open seats on the Bedford Town Council. The town election will be held on March 8, 2022 at the Bedford High School.

Kathleen is no stranger to civic engagement and town government. She has been active in planning, zoning, communication and conservation issues. She has served on the Wetlands Subcommittee of the Conservation Commission, the Telecommunication Committee, and the Composting Committee.

She is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in head and neck cancer, dysphagia, and complex developmental disorders with a B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders from College of Saint Rose, Albany, New York, and the University of New Hampshire, Durham respectively.

Kathleen’s candidacy is endorsed by current Town Councilor and State Senator Denise Ricciardi.
