I want to thank all my Bedford constituents for the honor of serving you as your Town Councilor for the last 3 years. As I have become more involved in serving you in the Senate I knew it was time to step down from my role as your Town Councilor. I deeply care for the future of our town and therefore struggled with this decision. I wanted to know that my position was going to someone who cares about the town as much as I do. For that reason I asked Kathleen Bemiss, a wonderful woman and friend who has proven her love for Bedford through her many years of involvement in the town, if she would be willing to run for Town Councilor. I am thankful that she was willing to step up to serve you.

I have known and worked with Kathleen for over 25 years. She is a woman of the highest integrity. Kathleen has repeatedly impressed me with her intellectual depth, her strong work ethic, and her ability to come up with creative solutions to solve problems.

Kathleen Bemiss is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in head and neck cancer, dysphagia, and complex developmental disorders. She has always been active in Bedford Town affairs and government, including planning, zoning, communication and conservation issues. She has served on the Wetlands Subcommittee of the Conservation Commission, the Telecommunication Committee, and the Composting Committee. Her love of Bedford is shown in how she has given herself and her time to the town time and time again.

I believe that Kathleen is eminently qualified for town Council and I give her my full support and endorsement. Please vote for Kathleen on March 8th at Bedford High School.
